OUR HISTORY
In 2020, Loyola and McCarthy Catholic Trade Training Centres became CathWest Innovation College.
Building on the past achievements of both Trade Training Centres as well as Loyola Senior High, CathWest has gone on to offer exciting education options for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. McCarthy Catholic Trade Training Centre in Emu Plains became the McCarthy Campus of CathWest Innovation College, and Loyola in Mount Druitt is now known as CathWest Innovation College, Loyola Campus. Both campuses offer impressive facilities that support hands-on, authentic learning experiences.
With carefully designed, innovative student learning programs, CathWest Innovation College has a strong focus on developing skills for success. The college offers a different approach to traditional schooling that is focused on helping students achieve their career goals.
Professional mentoring, industry partnerships, workplace placements and industry-recognised qualifications support this learning.
PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

At CathWest we are putting students in the driver’s seat when it comes to their learning journey. Our students achieve because we teach them to believe in themselves the way we believe in them.

The teaching of Religious Education is central to all schools in the Diocese who share in the mission of the Church to share the story and vision of Jesus Christ through a daily personal encounter with Him. This personal encounter is reflected in the school’s liturgical and prayer life, sacramental preparation, attendance at parish masses, visits by the parish priest, pastoral care programs, social justice initiatives, music and art.
