🖐️ Hands-On Learning in Early Childhood Education Our Year 11 Early Childhood Education students are diving deep into the second module of their Certificate III qualification! 📚✨👩‍ The day began with rich professional discussions regarding the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), professional practice, and the importance of meaningful observations. While our mornings focus on essential theory and content, we love to wrap up the day by putting a practical twist on what we’ve learned. 🌟 Today’s Spotlight: The "Hand of Practice" Activity Students participated in a reflective exercise to bridge the gap between theory and their personal identity as Early Childhood Professionals. 👉🏻Professional Identity: Students traced their hands and identified five key characteristics on their fingers that make them great educators. 👉🏻The "Why": On the wrist, they articulated their personal "why"—the driving force behind their choice to enter the education sector. 👉🏻EYLF Alignment: To extend their thinking, students mapped these traits to the five EYLF Learning Outcomes, identifying how they personally strive to support these outcomes in their professional roles.
