🎨 Creativity in Full Swing at CathWest! 🏺✨ Our students dived into the YES Program: Ceramics & Drawing at TAFE Kingswood this term — and what an explosion of imagination it was! From mastering wheel work and throwing their very own candle pots, to exploring the history of architecture and sketching out their dream homes, students blended creativity with real design thinking. Using 2D drawings to build 3D creations, they began hand-building their dream-home designs, learning essential ceramics techniques along the way — including firing, oxides, underglaze and glazing. To top it all off, students designed themed gift bags to showcase their handcrafted candles. We’re so proud of the talent, focus and flair our young creators showed throughout the program. Dear Parents and Carers From 10 December 2025, age-restricted social media platforms, such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, will have to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under 16 from creating or keeping accounts. ✈️ Future high-flyers in action!✈️ CathWest Innovation College recently hosted a 2-day Aviation Operations microcredential, with students from CathWest, St Agnes CHS Rooty Hill and Gilroy College all gearing up for the incredible opportunities coming with the new Western Sydney International (Nancy- Bird Walton) Airport. 🚀🚀 To future-fit our young people, we’re giving them real skills, real confidence, and real pathways — and this week they got a front-row seat to the world of aviation! Delivered by Western Sydney University in partnership with Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport and Bradfield Development Authority, students kicked off their journey into Aviation Operations with an interactive, hands-on taster course that was anything but boring. From airport ops to career insights, they were fully airborne in learning mode! A huge shout-out to the always-engaging Josh Senior and Esther Lee for making the sessions fun, dynamic and packed with insider knowledge. 🛫 The best part? Our Industry pathway students are up to Lesson 3 of the YES Program — TAFE’s Youth Engagement Strategy, giving high school students the opportunity to explore potential career pathways through fun, hands-on taster courses. Remembrance Day At 11am on Remembrance Day each year, Australians pause for one minute of silence to remember and honour all those who have served, suffered, or lost their lives in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. 🏁 In the Spotlight 🏆 After years of competing in speedway go-karting, Aidan’s dedication and hard work have paid off! Yesterday, he was crowned State Title – Speedway Pro Standard Heavy Champion. 🙌 🔥 On a scorching day at Nepean Raceway, Aidan started in 4th position, took the lead, and finished the race in 1st place! He’ll proudly hold the No.1 title for the next 12 months until he returns to defend his title next year. 🥇🚦 Congratulations Aidan! 👏👏 #nswspeedwaykartclub #nepeanraceway
