Congratulations to Ellie Drury, our new School Based Apprentice in Landscape Construction at Greenworx. #greenworx #apprenticeshipsupportaustralia Ellie will commence early next year and attend Ryde TAFE to commence her Certificate III Landscape Construction. Bronze Winners!!! We did it! We came home with the Bronze at the Australian Training Awards for the Schools Pathways to VET Award category! ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐๐ This is the third year in a row we have been recognized nationally for our excellence and outstanding practice in Vocational Education and Training (VET). Last week our students took part in the Solar Buddy program supported by Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia. It was a real eye opener for our students to learn that 10% of the worldโs population live in energy poverty. We switch on a light switch and charge our laptop without appreciating this may not be the case for everyone. ๐๐ Through solar we can help reduce the impact of energy poverty. Our students created a solar light, in hope this may provide support to a student not as fortunate to access electricity. ๐โ๏ธ Thank you to @VCV Australia for holding this program and creating awareness to our CathWest students. ๐๐ VCV Sydney West @Carbon Neutral + @1%fortheplanet @United Nations Global Compact Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese #cspd2024
