Education Mass celebrates students making a difference
Whether caring for the environment, their community or those in need, hundreds of students, staff, teachers, parents and clergy from throughout the Diocese of Parramatta gathered for the 2023 Education Mass to celebrate what Faith in Action looks like and how they’re making a difference in the world.

This week Year 10 Inquiry students had the privilege of visiting the Sydney Jewish Museum as part of their People, Populations & Progress project. Students participated in a guided tour of the museum, listened to a lecture and heard a testimony from 95-year-old Holocaust survivor Yvonne Engelman. The opportunity to hear Yvonne's incredible story of suffering, determination and resilience first-hand was a memorable experience and one that will not be afforded to the next generations. Remembering and commemorating the Holocaust is essential to ensure that humankind never perpetrates these kind of atrocities again. The significance of this experience was not lost on Year 10 who embraced the opportunity with respect and maturity. #CathWest #Schooldonedifferenty #History

Our Year 12 leader, Sophie Galambos was the recipient of the Bishop of Parramatta Award last Thursday. Olivia Payne, Year 11 Leader described Sophie as a leader who has, "consistently demonstrated her strong Catholic values through her actions". She has, "supported the local Mount Druitt community by donating to the Ignite Food Store & Op Shop in Emerton."
