CathWest is beaming with pride as one of its own, Lizzy Cilia, continues to make waves in the literary and media world! Lizzy, a talented and determined student, has recently achieved an incredible milestone with the publication of her novella, Our Love Was Meant to Be Till the End of Time! 😍😍 The book has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm, flying off the shelves and selling out in record time! Thankfully you can get yourself a copy for a short time only so please contact the school office if you are interested. 🤩🤩 Adding to her growing list of accomplishments, Lizzy recently penned an article for The Western Weekender during work experience, showcasing not only her storytelling abilities but also her keen journalistic talent. And as if that wasn’t impressive enough, just yesterday, she secured a coveted internship with Jesuit Communications Media, an opportunity that will undoubtedly propel her even further toward an exciting future in writing and media. The entire CathWest community couldn’t be prouder of Lizzy’s achievements. Her dedication, passion, and perseverance serve as an inspiration to students and staff alike. Women in Trade Carpentry & Automotive Are you a female between the age of 14 - 24? Are you curious to more about a Trade? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of carpentry or automotive Carpentry students will learn how to build a timber planter box to take home. Automotive students, will learn the basics to car care and you will get your hands dirty, and learn how to check the oil, change a tyre, and pick up a few tips that’ll come in handy for life (trust us). Our first Careers of Today Parent Forum - What a success! 👏🤩👏 On Tuesday, 18 March 2025, we had an incredible evening of collaboration and conversation with parents, young people, and industry experts. The energy in the room was inspiring as we explored the jobs in demand, the skills and capabilities required, and the pathways leading to these careers. A big shout out to WEXPO for assisting CathWest in hosting this event. 👷👷♀️👷♂️ A huge thank you to everyone who attended and engaged in this crucial discussion—our children's future! It was also fantastic to see how educational institutions are aligning with industry needs, reaffirming the importance of a relevant and future-focused education. Commitment to Close the Gap clear for Western Sydney Catholic schools
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) has released its first annual Closing the Gap report. This report outlines its contribution to improving socio-economic outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly students and their families. CSPD Chief Executive Officer Jack de Groot said the report reflects the dedication of CSPD’s 6 500 staff in fostering reconciliation and equity through the organisation’s 80 outstanding school across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Our Year 10 Students @Productivity Bootcamp Pty Ltd ! 👷👷♀️🚧🚧💪 Our awesome Year 10 students have had an action packed day at Productivity Bootcamp in Penrith! 🏗️🔧 From teamwork to practical skills, they have shown dedication and commitment at each session. At this purpose built job site, they have been developing construction skills including steel fixing, formwork, concreting, bricklaying and plumbing.
