700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

Our Yr 12 ECEC students in the Spotlight! During the week Yr 12 ECEC students visited Connie’s Childcare Centre and had a wonderful hands-on experience working with children of all ages.👶👧🧒 From reading stories and singing songs to teaching dance, counting in different languages, and getting creative with colouring and crafts, it was a fun and engaging day for everyone involved. 🎶🎨 It was fantastic to see our students building confidence, connecting with the children, and bringing so much energy and care into the experience. 💛 A great example of learning in action! 🎉 Congratulations to our amazing students! 🎉 We are so proud of our Year 12 students who have successfully completed the SUIT Program at Australian Catholic University, Strathfield. By completing two university-level units – Understanding Learning and Teaching and Understanding Learners and Their Contexts – during their holidays, these students have shown incredible dedication, commitment and a genuine passion for a future in education. 👏 🌟 Not only have they gained valuable insight into university study, but they have also taken an exciting step towards a teaching career, with conditional entry into an ACU teaching degree and credit for their completed units. Two of our Year 12 bricklaying students proudly took part in the opening of the Holy Cross Primary School Pope Francis Garden. This special project began last year, with our students working alongside staff to lay the groundwork for the school’s new garden. Their hard work and dedication helped create a peaceful space for the school community to enjoy.
